New Yarn in the Michaels Canada stores today

IMG_20151217_172650They got in two new types of yarn today in our store which looked quite nice.  The first is Woolette which is 48% acrylic, 46% wool, and 6% polyester.  It is nice and nubbly and comes in a lot of colors.  It is rated at 6 (super bulky) and the balls are rather small at only 48 yards.

IMG_20151217_172658The second is Colortone which is 62% acrylic, 32% wool, and 6% polyester.  It comes in a lot of colors and each is a mixed color which gives it a nice depth.  It is rated at 6 (super bulky) and comes in a decent size 98 yard ball.  I like this one better than Woolette, but I suspect that one may appeal to me more once I see it is worked into a piece.  I am hoping for a sale soon so I can try them since $7.99 is a bit pricey for the sizes, even with a 40 or 50% off coupon.

  2. Hi I went to Michaels in Weston, Ontario, yesterday and bought 4 balls of the Woolette yarn as it was buy 1 get 1 free in 2 different colours to knit a scarf. I was hoping to get a pattern off the internet because of the way the yarn hangs or is puffy looking but I havent had any luck. Do you have any suggestions. Thank you for any help you can give. Sandy
