While we were in Lexington, we also visited the Woodford Reserve Distillery and took their tour. Lots of interesting sights and smells, plus a tasting at the end. 🙂 The barrel storage where they age the bourbon for 7 years was the most impressive visually and the smell was heavenly from all the evaporation (the angel’s share). Here are a couple of shots of barrels which are stacked 13 high in a VERY large storehouse that was built in the early 1800’s.
